Mall of America is a shopping mall owned by triple five group. Mall of America has a gross area of 96.4 acres enough to fit seven Yankee Stadiums inside with 25,00,000sq ft available as retail space. The mall is nearly symmetric, with a roughly rectangular floor plan. More than 530 stores are arranged along three levels of pedestrian walkways on the sides of the rectangle, with a fourth level on the east side.
During winter, only the Mall’s entrances and some below ground areas are heated. Heat is allowed in through skylights above Nickelodeon Universe. The bulk of the heat is produced by lighting fixtures, other electric devices, and people in the mall.Actually, even during the winter, air conditioning systems may still be in use during peak hours to ensure a comfy shopping environment. Although the common areas are somewhat unheated, the individual stores do have heating systems.
Nickelodeon Universe in Mall of America:
It is an Indoor Theme park located at the center of the shopping mall. The park is filled with roller coasters, and other numerous rides and attractions. Nickelodeon Universe is the largest indoor theme park in United States. Apart from many indoor amusement park, Nickelodeon Universe has the greatest and highest ground level with 15 feet high above the lowest and surrounded by natural flora in and about the park. Based on popular Nickelodeon-branded properties like “Blue’s Clues,” “Dora the Explorer” and “Sponge Bob Square Pants,” Nickelodeon Universe offers a wide range of rides. No Admission fee for riders; Instead visitors pay per ride.
Each ride in the Shopping mall requires a certain number of points and guests can buy individual tickets, unlimited day passes or points passes that can be used on multiple visits until the points have been used. Height restrictions apply on many rides. For rides that require a chaperon for smaller children, only one ticket per chaperon/child pair is required. The park categorizes its rides as adult rides, family rides and Kids rides.
Adult Rides in Mall of America:
Being indoors does not keep Nickelodeon Universe from offering thrill-inducing rides such as the 70-foot-tall Avatar Air bender, which rocks riders back and forward as if they are riding on air; the Splat-O-Sphere, with a free-fall drop of 60 feet; and the loops and turns on the Sponge Bob Square pants Rock Bottom Plunge roller coaster. Six other thrill rides drop, flip and twirl riders around the park. All have height limits, with the minimum being 43 inches with chaperon.
Family Rides in Mall of America:
Pleasant to all ages, the family rides in shopping mall combine adventure with kid-friendly features. Many of the family rides are available for younger kids accompany by a parent, including the Ferris wheel, carousel and an interactive Ghost Blasters ride through a haunted mansion. The Log Chute, a water ride, and Crazy Cars have height requirements.
Kid Rides in Mall of America:
There are rides for Kids in the family at Nickelodeon Universe. The park includes 11 rides designed for younger kids, most without height restrictions for chaperoned riders. The Back at the Barnyard Hayride roller coaster offers a “wild” ride with characters from the show. Young guests can drive their own trucks on the Big Rig ride or enjoy a train raid on La Aventura de Azul, the blue train from “Dora the Explorer.”

Furthermore rides at Nickelodeon Universe, in which visitors can enjoy an 18-hole miniature golf course and an indoor ropes course. The A.C.E.S. flight simulators allow guests to experience flying modern and historical aircraft while visiting the shopping mall.
Minnesota Aquarium in Mall of America:
The aquarium took 18 months to build. In 2000, the aquarium was re-opened and its name has been changed to Underwater Adventures Aquarium. At the Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium, guests travel through a 300-foot-long curved tunnel through 14 feet of water to view over 4,500 sea creatures including sharks, turtles, stingrays, and many more.Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium offers special events such as sleepovers, scuba diving, snorkeling, and birthday parties.
